Family Day

Last week we got a rare treat:  Mark took off a Monday and we braved the long drive to Destin to spend a day (more like a few hours) walking around their little outdoor mall.  It’s a REALLY nice place, with a kids play area and fountains, kids train rides, a Bass Pro Shop, lots of fun stuff.  The girls were SO unbelievably good and had so much fun.

Kallie wasn’t too sure about these gigantic fish just inches from her face.  She just stared with huge eyes:

The play area…all the things were too hot from the sun to even touch!  So Kenna didn’t even get to play…

We found one shaded boat… 🙂

Kallie has such a blast watching other kids play.  She is just itching to be big!

Kenna got a big treat at Coldstone!  She picked chocolate with chocolate chips.  She ate about 3/4 and, er, someone finished it off for her, I have no idea who.  Kallie had a few bites, and is looking like she wanted a few more…

There she is!  Mark seemed to get quite a kick out of seeing me squeeze into that tiny car…

Such a fun day.  🙂

Babies

No, we aren’t having another one!  😉

The girls have been having fun playing babies together lately.  Well, as you can see, Kenna plays a good mommy but Kallie mostly loves to scratch them, beat their heads on the ground, and gouge their eyes out with her little fingers.   It’s a start, anyway.

…almost always inevitably ends up like this…

…as her poor little head continues to be banged and dented up as a result of her misadventures.  It’s a rough time getting your footing in this world, isn’t it?  I kiss a lot of boo-boos every day!!  🙂
